Vadsøya Cultural Park

The park has cultural monuments from ancient and more modern times, swamp areas and nesting places for unusual birds. The area with traces of ancient houses is said to be one of the best-preserved medieval villages in Norway. It was inhabited until around 1500-1600. The cemetery was later used by the Russians. There is also an airship mast on display, which was constructed for Roald Amundsen's journey with the airship Norge in 1926, as well as many objects related to the war. On Vadsøya there is also an exhibition entitled "Airships and Boats".
