Sjokoladelåven ("the chocolate barn")

One winter's evening in Rondane in 1899, Harald Sohlberg became entranced by the blue light in the mountains. The theme of "Winter's night in Rondane" became his "life's work" and at periods he rented rooms at Nordre Nesset and used the lounge in the main house as a studio. In common with Sohlberg's masterpiece, the treasures of the Sjokoladelåven are inspired by the mountains and forests that surround us in Rondane. In the old stables there is now an exclusive chocolate manufactory and sales outlet, producing sweets and chocolate with tastes, accents and names derived from the forests and mountains of Rondane. Farm with animals in the farmyard.
