Thorbjørnrud Hotel

Thorbjørnrud Hotel has a history reaching far back in time. The first accounts of it are found in Bishop Eyvind's "red book" which dates from around 1300, when Thorbjørnrud was a major farm. In about 1760, Hadeland Glassverk was founded, and Thorbjørnrud was soon being used as a residence for workers and directors there. During the past year the hotel has re-created the distinguished garden in which it once rejoiced. The old gravel paths have been re-laid and exotic trees and flowering bushes once again decorate Thorbjørnrud.
