Lesja District Museum


Lesja District Museum has a total of 12 buildings that illustrate the building customs and the traditional ways of living. There is also a collection of ancient objects tfrom the area, and exhibitions on costumes, arts and crafts and war history from 1940. The museum displays the 40 000 year old history of reindeer hunting, and is full of life during summer. You can taste the traditional foods of the area. The entry ticket is also valid for a visit to the Lesja Church from 1749, one of most beautifully decorated churches in Gudbrandsdalen.
