Trøndelag Folk Museum, Sverresborg


This open air museum by the ruins of King Sverre's medieval castle has over 60 buildings showing how the people of this area lived and worked in the 1700s and 1800s. Haltdalen Stave Church, from 1170, is one of the main attractions. The museum has a new hall with the permanent exhibition "Pictures of life", the figure theatre "The bride from Trøndelag" and varying exibitions of different kind. Both children and grown-ups are offered a broad spectre of experiences, like animals, old-fashioned toys and other activities. Museum shop, restaurant.
