Rein church

In 1888 the original Rein church was demolished. The author Johan Bojer, who at that time was still a boy, promised his mother, Randi, that one day he would build a new church. He later made good his word and in 1932 the new Rein church was built following an initiative and funding from Johan Bojer. On 24 August 1932 the "Bojer Church" was dedicated and Johan's mother Randi, who had once wept that the church bells no longer would be heard in the village, was herself able to ring the bells for the church service.
