Hysnes fort

Hysnes fort was established in 1897 and constructed to form a part of the Agdenes fortifications. During the Second World War, the Germans took over the fort and reinforced it. Clear signs remain of the military activity. In 1998, Hysnes was decommissioned as a military fort. A health fort was subsequently established here, including the "Guri Kunna" restaurant, offering local food.
