Energy hotel at Nesflaten

The Kilen area at Nesflaten is a unique architectural site. Geir Grung (1926 - 1989) drew the plans for the power station, housing and communal building in connection with the Røldal - Suldal power-station development in the 1960s. The former communal building is now operated as a hotel, the "Energy Hotel", with original '60s furniture from Sven Ivar Dysthe. Nesflaten is also located in the midst of the Discovery Route. This is a trail through the fjords in the Ryfylke and Hardanger districts, between Stavanger and Bergen. The trail is based on a historic travel route for overseas tour operators in the 1880s.
