Træe Cotter's Farm

Træe is a small and primitive cotter's farm from about 1780, which was populated until the beginning of the 1900s. The building proves to be a unique example of functional building tradition from Jæren. The small log house is about 3,5 x 3,5 m. The small kitchen is equipped by a hearth stone, and its floor is made of bare earth. The roof is covered by handmade tiles. The hay barn, which is connected to the rest of the house, is built in the special "frame construction". The cow shed, which is half-way underground, was built to house two cows.
