Eidsvoll 1814

The Eidsvoll Building is where the National Assembly convened in 1814, created the most liberal constitution of the time and ratified it on May 17th. This is the base of the celebration of Norway's National Day. The Eidsvoll Building therefore plays a central role in the history of Norway, and thus it is one of the most well-known buildings of the country. The guided tours pass on The Constitution, 1814 and May 17th in an interesting way to both children and grown-ups. The museum shop and a small café/confectioner's are surrounded by a nice park.
