Kinna Church and Kinna Pageant

The church is built in the Romanesque style, and has been in continuous use since the 1100s. Legend and oral tradition link the church to St Sunniva and her followers. The church has been expanded and renovated, and today its appearance is as close as possible to its original form. The Kinna Pageant is an open air presentation with over 150 actors, which is performed with the medieval church as a backdrop. Legend and history both play their parts in the pageant, entitled "The Song of the Deep", which deals with common sources of conflict.
