The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History is Norway's largest of its kind. It presents culture and history from all of Norway, and demonstrates how people have lived since the 1500s. The museum has over 150 buildings from the entire country. Both urban and rural environments are on display. Gol Stave Church from the 1200s is one of the main attractions. There are permanent exhibitions on various themes, and several temporary exhibitions. Activities for children and adults, such as guided tours and folk dancing performances are arranged.
