Norwegian University of Life Sciences is situated in a scenic neo-classical park that dates back to 1859. The College's many old buildings have names such as "Urbygningen" (the Primeval Building), "Tårnbygningen" (the Tower Building), "Tivoli" (the Amusement Park) and "Sirkus" (the Circus). "Smia" (the Smithy) houses the College bookshop. The Agricultural Museum of Norway) opened in 1997 and includes historical exhibitions. Nearby is Norway's only Dairy Museum, a restored dairy from 1900 with equipment that dates back to 1860.
