The Røbekken Mill

The mill is the only one in the district to have been preserved. The building was errected in the 1850s and was used by several farms in Narjordet. The mill was used during the spring when there was plenty of water in the brook. The inscriptions on the door describe this. In the early 1950s the building was bought by Rorøs Museum and ended up at Doktortjønna in Rorøs. In 1984 the mill was returned to its original location by the Røbekken Brook.
